Raslina Swimming Marathon is being held since 2010 in organisation of the Society of sporting recreation Raslina. Organization team is consisted of sports enthusiasts who promote sport values such as fair play, competitive spirit, friendship and tolerance among young and old, professionals and amateurs .
The competition takes place in Raslina, a small place near Sibenik, on beautiful Lake Prokljan, which is very suitable for swimming, and its length is 5 km, which makes it the only marathon of that lenght in Šibenik - Knin County, and one of the rare ones swimmed in brackish water.
Raslina Swimming Marathon has been included in the official calendar of the Croatian Long Distance Swimming Federation (www.hsdp.hr ) already from its first year. As such, it brings together a number of professionals and recreational swimmers from Croatia and beyond. We are proud by the fact that Raslina Swimming Marathon is one of the holders of the prestigious CRO CUP license, given by the Croatian Long Distance Swimming Federation. CRO CUP licence means that the performance or result accomplished on the swimming marathon is being scored for the CRO CUP grand prize, which is awarded at the end of the season. In just four years of existence, Raslina Swimming Marathon has become one of the Croatia's most visited marathons of international character and a growing number of competitors in all four years of existance.
